Peer Review Process
To ensure the highest standard of scientific integrity, JBAS employs a rigorous double-blind peer review process. This means the identities of both the authors and the reviewers remain strictly anonymous throughout the evaluation.
- Initial Screening: Every submitted manuscript undergoes an initial evaluation by the Editorial Desk to check for alignment with the journal's scope, basic formatting, and plagiarism limits.
- External Review: Manuscripts that pass the initial check are sent to at least two independent external experts in the relevant field.
- Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision: Accept as is, Minor Revisions required, Major Revisions required, or Reject.
The typical turnaround time from initial submission to the first editorial decision is approximately 6 to 8 weeks.
Open Access Policy
JBAS is a Full Open Access journal. All articles are made immediately and permanently available online to the global public free of charge upon publication.
- Licensing: All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Anyone is free to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles, provided the original authors and the journal are properly credited.
- Charges: There are zero subscription barriers or paywalls for readers.
Publication Frequency
JBAS is published semiannually (two issues per year). Digital issues are compiled and released systematically, though individual accepted articles may be published online ahead of the formal issue completion to minimize delays for authors.
